1. What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we process your name, your email address and the content of your message. Those fields are the only data the form asks for, and you decide what you write in the message. Please do not send sensitive personal data or confidential information through the form.

When the site is served, the web server logs technical information such as IP address, timestamp, which page was requested and browser type. This is standard operational logging, needed to deliver the site and to detect faults and abuse.

2. Why we process it

Data from the contact form is used to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to enter into an agreement for work. The legal basis is steps preparatory to a contract under GDPR Article 6(1)(b), or legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) where the enquiry does not lead to a contract.

Operational logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.

3. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a client relationship are deleted no later than twelve months after the last contact. Where a client relationship is established, correspondence is kept for the duration of the engagement and thereafter for as long as accounting legislation requires. Operational logs are deleted on a rolling basis after a short period.

4. Cookies

This website uses no cookies for analytics, tracking or marketing, and sets no cookies that require consent. That is why no consent dialog is shown. The language you select in the top menu is not stored between visits.

5. Processors and disclosure

We use external providers for website hosting, receiving form submissions and email. They process data on our instructions under a data processing agreement and may not use it for their own purposes. We do not sell personal data, and we do not disclose it to others unless legally required to.

To fill in before publishing

6. Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have errors corrected, to have the data deleted, and to request that processing be restricted. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Contact post@itguru.no and we will respond within one month.

If you believe we process data in breach of the rules, you may lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

7. Changes

If the services or tools we use change, we will update this policy and the date at the top.
